Meet Your Expert Tutor Team

Caroline Hunt

Caroline is a seasoned educator with over three decades of experience, holding Qualified Teacher Status since 1992. She has a Postgraduate Diploma in Dyslexia and Literacy and is a certified assessor with a current Assessment Practising Certificate from Patoss. Caroline has delivered 1:1 interventions, conducted assessments for access arrangements, and now focuses on diagnostic dyslexia assessments and consultancy.

Dr. Helen Ross

Helen is a trustee of the British Dyslexia Association and Chair of the Wiltshire Dyslexia Association. She has consulted for government and educational institutions on SEND, and her research focuses on empowering educators to support learners with barriers to participation. Helen brings an academic depth and practical insight to the course.

Louise Selby

Louise is an experienced dyslexia specialist teacher and assessor with over 25 years in education. She holds an OCR Level 7 Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Specific Learning Difficulties and a current Assessor’s Practising Certificate. Louise’s work includes roles as SENCO, advisor, and specialist assessor, and she brings deep understanding and empathy to the team. Louise is the Author of the intervention Programme Morph Mastery. 

Hi, I’m Katie Nelson — Dyslexia & Dyscalculia Specialist and Founder of The Dyslexia Centre North West and our online Dyslexia & Dyscalculia Academy.

I started this journey when my own daughter, Alice, was diagnosed with dyslexia. As a teacher, I felt helpless—so I spent years studying just to help her.

That path led me to support other children, open the Dyslexia Centre North West, and create training via the Dyslexia Academy that empowers other educators to do the same.
